Before and After VI Peel

The different types of VI Peels include:

  • VI Peel Original: Ideal for improving tone, texture, and clarity.

  • VI Peel Precision: A stronger version of the Original, designed for more advanced aging skin.

  • VI Peel Precision Plus: Targets pigmentation issues such as melasma, sun spots, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

  • VI Peel Purify: Specifically formulated for acne-prone skin.

  • VI Peel Purify with Precision Plus: Combines the benefits of acne treatment with pigmentation correction.

What to Expect after a VI Peel treatment:

  • Expect mild redness and a slight yellowish tint to the skin immediately after the procedure; this typically subsides within a few hours.

  • Peeling generally begins around the third day post-treatment and can last up to a week.

  • The peeling process reveals smoother and more even-toned skin underneath.

  • Some patients might not experience visible peeling; this does not indicate ineffectiveness.

  • The peel still penetrates the papillary dermis layer and provides the same benefits, even without visible peeling.

How to Prepare for a VI Peel:

  • Discontinue the use of exfoliating products, including retinoids and alpha hydroxy acids, at least one week before the treatment.

  • Ensure that the skin is free from any active infections or open wounds.

  • Avoid sun exposure to minimize the risk of irritation before the procedure.

Who should NOT get a VI Peel?

  • Active skin infections or inflammation, such as herpes simplex or severe acne

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Use of Accutane (isotretinoin) within the past 6 months

  • History of severe allergies, particularly to phenol or other peel ingredients

  • Recent facial surgery or open wounds in the treatment area

  • Autoimmune disorders that affect the skin

  • History of hypertrophic scarring or keloids

  • Sunburned or excessively sensitive skin
